Earlier this month, the Team and I took the night off and attended the Saverah Women in Business Awards in London. It's not something we have done before so we were super excited to network with so many like-minded individuals over dinner - let alone win an award!
I'll be honest, I didn't prepare a speech đŹÂ The team were pushing me to write one but deep down I was so nervous, that even thinking about a speech filled me with stage fright.
And yes, when our name was announced as winners for Creative Business of the Year, I froze đ„¶
After a few nudges from the team, I managed to make my way up to the stage and throw some words together for a "speech". But most importantly, I was filled with immense appreciation that our hard work over the years was being recognised
Creativity is at the heart of what we do at The Datery and to win Creative Business of the Year gives the team and I the validation, motivation and energy to continue building our dream business.
Things haven't been perfect - Lord knows how much work and stress goes on in the background to running a chocolate factory!  - but we're starting 2023 as AWARD WINNING CHOCOLATIERS and that feels pretty damn good!
Thank you for your continued support. We are back in the kitchen adding some finishing touches to our 2023 Easter and Ramadan campaigns that we can't wait to unveil!
